Dutch Cosmetics Association (NCV)
We are also an affiliate of the Nederlandse Vereniging Cosmetica NCV (Dutch Cosmetics Association). This organisation and its affiliates propagate the promotion of quality and safety in the field of cosmetics.
The NCV is the trade organisation of manufacturers and importers of cosmetics, i.e. personal hygiene products. This does not only include products for daily hygiene such as, for instance, deodorant, shampoo and tooth paste, but also beauty products such as make-up and hair dyes. The NCV strives, among other things, to:
- represent the cosmetics industry in The Netherlands and to improve the quality in the industry;
- to engage in an open dialogue with the Dutch, European and international institutions, legislative authorities and important opinion-forming bodies;
- coordinate and communicate the standpoints of the industry to the Dutch authorities and (inter)national institutions;
- offer its members an information service regarding legal, scientific and other developments that may have an impact on the companies, and to give personal advice if need be;
- give expert advice to, among others, doctors, scientists, hair stylists, beauticians and consumer organisations on all kinds of issues concerning the cosmetics industry.
